 ==Einstellen der Direktzugbremse==
+Im ersten Schritt baue die Bremsarme von den Sockeln ab und kontrolliere, ob diese rostfrei sind. Bedecke die Sockel großzügig mit [[Fett]] (Das ist sehr wichtig!).

+Es gibt jedoch bei Direktzugbremsen ein paar Spezialitäten:
+* Die meisten Direktzugbremsen haben Bremsschuhe mit Befestigungsbolzen, die eine Einstellung der Entfernung von Bremsschuh zur Felge erlauben -- und somit die Entfernung von Bremsarm zurm Bremsschuh.
+* Die meisten Bremsschuhe müssen lediglich nach innen justiert werden, falls die Bremsarme so nah beieinander stehen, dass sie entweder mit dem Reifen kollidieren könnten oder zu wenig Zugbewegungsspielraum erlauben.
+* Falls die Bremse mit Parallelogramm Koppelung ausgestattet ist, müsste diese möglicherweise gewartet werden. Dafür gibt es spezielle Wartungssets.

 ==Mittig ausrichten==
 When the brake is released, the brake shoes retract away from the rim. Ideally, the shoes on both sides should back off by the same amount. If they don't, the brake is not properly centered. In extreme cases, one of the shoes may not retract, and may rub on the rim even when the brake is not being applied.
